Caveman Keto: Chili Recipe {Wow.}

If you missed yesterday’s post, I talked about meal prep and how I had cooked over 5 pounds of hamburger to prepare our lunches and dinners for the next 3 days. Well, we had the chili for dinner last night and it was amazing. I’ve been so excited to share the recipe and what I was actually able to create.

It’s like a food masterpiece.

I realize that warm temps don’t always make you crave chili but this stuff could change your whole world.

I followed the recipe to a “T” and I think it’s perfect. Of course you can always add and sub different things but “as-is”, it’s golden.

Ingredients I used:

  • 3 pounds of beef (a few ounces over)
  • 9 slices bacon
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 packet chili seasoning (could also make your own seasoning)
  • salt and pepper

Again, the recipe is from the Caveman Keto blog and the specific post can be found here.

*Just a side note: The portion in that bowl is 1/6 of the recipe and it was a very satisfying dinner. I topped it with some cheddar cheese and a bit of source cream and oh my…. I still made room for a small piece of rhubarb cake from my mother-in-law afterwards though. I didn’t take a picture of that because I inhaled it. Whoops!

In case you aren’t a chili fan, my boys brought me lilacs and the whole house smells so good:

Mothers of boys and dogs can appreciate anything that makes the house smell good! So far the cat has left them alone too. Well, for the most part.

Speaking of cats, here’s just a little motivation for your Wednesday:
