Happy Valentine’s Day!!
I hope you have some fun things planned for today whether it’s a night out (or in) with your special person or hanging with good friends. It’s Valentine’s Day AND Friday, gotta make the most of it!
Roger and I don’t typically buy gifts or do anything out of the ordinary for each other on Valentine’s Day but we do enjoy the day together and will probably have a movie night with the kids tonight to celebrate just a lil bit.
With that said, I thought it’d be a great day for another Friday Favorites post to feature some of my favorite things lately!
These were a part of my yummy breakfast this morning. Best apples that exist I’m sure of it.
My little stinker, Bella
Bella is our newest addition and she has made her presence known for sure! I love her playfulness despite how exhausted I’ve felt for the past week. I love how she tries to play with “the big dogs” like it’s no big thing. She knows not to mess with our 10-year-old Olde English Bulldog (Diesel) but she gives our 5-year-old mini bulldog (Zuki) quite the headache. I think they’re enjoying her as much as the rest of us are. Bulldogs are so fun!
Homemade One Direction (1D ?) Valentine
Miss G made this Valentine (she’s 7) and I just saw it this morning and thought it was adorable! I used to do silly stuff like this when I was younger but I’m pretty sure it started at a later age? But hey, at least she’s over Bieber. I just thought this was super cute!
Valentine’s Treat Bags
I don’t usually buy into all the crap that is Valentine’s Day but Target pulled me in and I couldn’t refuse to put little bags together for the kids after seeing all the cute stuff they had! I got each of them a little stuffed animal, a couple lollipops, a pack of Bubble Yum, Nature Valley Granola Bars (YUM!), a pack of Puffs Tissue for their never-ending runny noses lately and a Reese’s Heart. When I got up with Bella at around 12:30am this morning, I set these little bags out on each of their chairs at the dining room table so when they pulled them out this morning to sit down for breakfast they saw them. I think they were a little surprised! Target had several cartwheel offers that helped sway my decision to pack up these little fun treat bags.
Yes to Blueberries & Grapefruit Target Deal
Speaking of Target… I found a great deal on “Yes to” products yesterday! I have been saving a Yes to coupon that is worth $5 OFF a $10 purchase of their products so I brought it with me yesterday because I wanted to try the Yes to Blueberries eye firming treatment. I haven’t tried any of these products before but had been wanting to. I went to the normal facial cleansing products aisle and saw that the eye treatment was $9.99. This was also the lowest price of any of the “Yes to” products I saw. Their products are a little spendy and I didn’t feel like buying two items just so I could save $5 because it would’ve been about $20. So…I tucked the coupon back into my purse and went on my merry way. Then the clouds parted and on my way to the seasonal Valentine aisles, I stopped and peeked at the area where they have some bulk items (where I found the Nature Valley Granola Bars!) and spied an end cap with a few “Yes to” clearance items on it! They were ALL on clearance for $4.98 so I picked up THREE! This was an awesome deal because not only were the items marked down 50%, each item also included a pack of 25 towelettes!
I ended up getting two eye firming treatments and one exfoliating body wash (self-tanning season is coming you know), so for all 6 items, I paid $9.94! (after my $5 off coupon) Even without a coupon these are still 50% off and include a bonus full size product with them! Have I mentioned how much I love Target?
Ghirardelli Valentine Chocolate Squares
I don’t think I need to explain the wonderfulness of these but I do love the sayings on them!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you have a great weekend!
