Moms! I know how tough it can be to make the time for fitness which is why I’ve rounded up some of the best quick workouts busy moms can do anywhere. I know how easy it is to fill every ounce of free time with something else I’d rather be doing. Like catching up on tv shows, finally sitting {Read More}

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today is a great day to be in Minnesota. Why? To get ready for warmer weather and tank tops!, I found a new-to-me workout for arms today: Arms & Core Workout  *Directions: Repeat twice through using dumbbells with a weight of your choice. My 4-Week Workout Journal Update: Days 11-14

Here is a catch up post from the workouts I’ve done for the past 4 days. I got behind because of the NFL playoff games but I did manage to keep my journey going. I still haven’t gotten used to lunges, although I don’t really know if that ever happens? I detest them while I’m doing them, but I know they’re EXCELLENT. I really can feel that they’re working and that keeps me chugging along. :D Day 11: Dumbbells (Circuits {Read More}

3/27 & 3/29: Cardio, Abs and Leg Workout

Today’s post consists of 2 days worth of workouts, cardio/abs and legs, because I forgot to post the workout I did on Saturday, so I’ve just combined the two workouts into one post. I had scaled back on my leg workout this week. I’ve been doing deadlifts twice a week and it’s really helped to strengthen and build my hamstrings, but I still want to be able to fit into my pants! So I skipped deadlifts today and from now {Read More}

Today was chest and triceps day again. Oh how I love chest day! It always makes me feel strong. :) I lifted heavy today because I’m still working my way back up to benching 100 pounds. I did 4 sets of 85 pounds, which you can see in more detail below. I also did another 60 minute cardio workout that included high-intensity interval training and a steady state jog/light run for 30 minutes. I’m pretty impressed with how I’ve been {Read More}

The photo in this post really has nothing to do with my workout today in any way but it’s Adrian Peterson and my Vikings are in the NFC Championship game this coming Sunday so I’m showing my team spirit! I realized today that I completely skipped shoulders. For my last workout I did back and biceps and I was supposed to do shoulders. Whoops! So I’m just going to skip them this week. Today I did a chest workout, a {Read More}

1/14 Workout: Chest & Triceps

I started a new workout program this week and today was chest and triceps day. I love chest day and today’s workout was much better than my last chest workout. Actually…I guess I shouldn’t say it was “much better” but it was a lot more fun because I used the bench and barbell this time. I used dumbbells for the last one. Barbell = heavy. I’m trying to get up to being able to bench 100 pounds and hopefully beyond {Read More}

12/10 Workout: HIIT & Steady State Cardio

Today was another cardio workout day for me. It’s really starting to get easier which makes me pretty happy because I’ve always hated cardio – more specifically steady state cardio – but it really does start to get easier once your body gets used to running. I’m pleasantly surprised how much I’m actually starting to like it. I think just the first few times are tough when your body isn’t used to running for such a long time, but it {Read More}

11/23: Full Body Workout + HIIT

Finally! Another workout. I’ve been bad. I haven’t worked out since last Tuesday. I swear it’s because of the following two things: I’m getting bored with the 21’s workout My workout buddy (AKA my husband) broke his thumb 2 weeks ago and isn’t able to workout Today I did the 2nd part of the full body workout I have been doing and then I followed that up with some HIIT (until I almost puked). It’s been
