TurboFire Greatest HIITs: Watch This Newbie!

Most of you know that I’m currently doing the Les Mills Pump program but this past Sunday I got the itch to do some Turbofire. (What? A workout on a Sunday? I never do that!) I have no prior experience with Turbofire. Turbofire is basically like the 2.0 version of Turbo Jam. Not familiar with Turbo Jam? That’s okay. :)

Turbofire allowed me to actually have fun while doing cardio AND it was high intensity interval training. For those who don’t know, I HATE steady cardio. I didn’t always know what I was doing, but that kind of made it even more fun. I was laughing at myself the entire time and I decided to record it just to prove I’m not afraid to laugh at myself.

I’m going to start doing the Turbofire Greatest HIITs workout twice per week in addition to Les Mills Pump. This will be a great addition to the program considering the only cardio that has been “prescribed” so far is walking. I never seem to fit in those 40-60 minutes of walking but it’s easy to fit in a 15-minute workout!

It will take some time before you really start to nail the moves down but I think I did pretty well for my 2nd time (and the first time I did it was over a month ago – that was a disaster. LOL!). I’m really not coordinated AT ALL. It’s just like learning any other type of choreography so you can expect a bit of a learning curve. Some get it within a couple of workouts, others it may take a couple weeks but it’s fun whether you know the moves or not. Just keep moving!

Interested in giving Turbofire Greatest HIITs a shot? I promise you don’t have to record yourself and post it online. :)

  1. Haha I think you look better than me doing it. But one thing for sure, the HIIT workout was fun.

    • That comment means a lot to me Masreen. LOL! I had a great time, that’s for sure! Have you done the entire Turbofire program? I’m thinking about it now after trying it out.

  2. You are adorable. Admiring you for being so transparent, for your excellent blog bells-and-whistles skills (developing mine), and for going for it! I am not a fan of high-speed cardio myself, so those programs scare me! Way to go, girl! proud of you!
